Changes to Spirit of Tasmania Terminal

The Spirit of Tasmania transports people and vehicles from Victoria to Tasmania. On the Victorian side, there is a change to the departure point. As of 23rd October 2022, the ship will depart from the new terminal which is located in Geelong. This is a change from the previous location at Station Pier in the Port Melbourne.

The address for the Geelong Terminal is 136 Corio Quay Road in North Geelong.

The last departure for Devonport from Port Melbourne was schedule for 7.30pm on Saturday 22 October. For those doing the Tasmania-Victoria leg, the return voyage on Sunday 23 October at 8am was scheduled for Devonport to Geelong. From then on, all the sailings of the Spirit of Tasmania will be Geelong-Devonport-Geelong.

This will mark a major milestone for operators and passengers. The new quay provides great facilities for passengers including ample parking with areas undercover, easy access, lounge area, café and even a play area to keep the children amused.
