Harvok Playstation Features
A monocoque caravan/camper has a body in one piece. This means no joints, leaks, glues and screws. The single section is structured using cold pressing and robotic welding techniques – the same processes used in car making. The Harvok monocoque structure is constructed in a Chinese manufacturing facility that makes minibuses. The fit-out takes place at the company’s RV facility with final stages of fit-out completed at the company’s Victorian facility.
According to reports, the difference between Harvok and others claiming a monocoque build is that the others are a body on a frame. For Harvok, the true monocoque is a single unit. On these models, the chassis and the body are welded and then dipped in anti-corrosion liquid baths so the build is a complete unit. The same methods are used in motor vehicle manufacturers.
A key benefit to buyers will be the pricing. The process is less labour-intensive than traditional caravan manufacture. It is also expected to result in fewer warranty issues in regard to leaking joins. As well of course as the increased rigidity and strength.
The initial delivery of Harvok Playstation caravans includes the 14’6” model which is a hybrid caravan. That will be followed in the near future by the 19’6” versions. The look is also quite different from many other caravans on the market.
A rear hinged door is the entry point, giving this a very unique appearance. Inside there are hopper windows along the sides, a leather lounge with a swivel table, a 66 L fridge/freezer, 70 L tanks for fresh water and plenty of other comfort features. Cooking is facilitated with a slide-out facility which includes a 4-burner gas cooktop, tap and sink.
Storage is maximised with the front section and the integrated roof racks.
