Buyers planning to buy at 2026 caravan shows can apply for their RV finance some time before the event for conditional approval and/or a confirmed loan offer. Buyers heading to a RV show without knowing how much they would be approved to borrow may find themselves in a dilemma. Should they take a chance and commit to the order with a possibly non-refundable deposit?

Buyers that don’t know how the price of a RV converts to loan payments may find themselves in the same situation. Possibly committing to a model with a price that equates to loan payments beyond their budget.

With great models on display at these events, and often great special pricing for the show, it can be easy to get caught up in the hype and order or buy a RV that is simply not affordable. On the other hand, a buyer may opt for a lesser quality van thinking that the top of the range may be unaffordable, when the loan payments may be well within their budget.

Buyers can avoid these awkward scenarios by simply arranging their no-obligation finance before the show.  

2026 Caravan Shows – Buyer’s Finance Planner

The process of securing RV finance can be started well ahead of buying or ordering. Conditional approval may be arranged a long way out from the show date. Conditional approval provides buyers with their borrowing capacity at that time. This is how much they would be approved to borrow at the interest rates at the time. This can be critical information for selecting a RV with a price within the buyer’s borrowing power. Conditional approval can be an advance stage to securing a loan offer.

Pre-approved loans are confirmed finance offers which have applications processed based on an estimate of the loan prior to a purchase. The offer and approval is typically valid for 1-4 weeks or longer through some lenders. Buyers can apply for their finance ahead of the show for confirmed finance based on the loan required to purchase RVs they are considering. If the final loan amount differs from the estimate when the purchase is finalised, we work with our lenders to amend the loan offer accordingly.

When estimating the loan required for pre-approval, consider all the extras you may wish to include with your RV and have included in the finance. These may be choices of fixtures and fittings, extra solar panels and water tanks, awnings, special packs and other accessories. When accessories and options are included in the entire RV package the cost can usually be incorporated into the loan.

The same credit products and interest rates apply with pre-approved loans and loans arranged after the purchase is confirmed. Pre-approval carries no obligation. If the buyer decides not to order at the show, any loan offer simply expires at the end of the validity period.

Show attendees that are not fully committed to purchase and buyers that don’t feel totally ready to seek pre-approved finance also have options.
