There are a number of lifestyle and outdoor expos being held in May in both Victoria and Queensland which offer caravan enthusiasts plenty to see and buy. Queensland Regional Caravan Shows
With border restrictions gone, many caravanners have been heading north to escape the arriving cold in the southern states – great move! Also a good move – drop into one of the caravan shows happening in northern Queensland during May.
First on the calendar is the Cairns Expo. Billed as the home show with caravan, camping and boating expo, this event is sure to have plenty of interest for caravanners.
The show is on Friday 6th through to Sunday 8th May. Opening hours: Friday 8.30m-4pm, Saturday 8.301m-5pm and Sunday 8.30am-4pm.
Location is the Cairns Showgrounds with parking available onsite but with a $5 fee which goes to the Cairns Showground Association. Tickets can be purchased online with both one day and three day options available. A booking fee also applies.
Organisers have listed the exhibitors on the event website and those displaying their products include Jayco Cairns, Caravan HQ which handles brands such as Royal Flair, Network RV and On the Move Caravans, and Brisbane RVs.
The following weekend, enthusiasts can head to Townsville for the Townsville Expo over the weekend of 13th to 15th May. The location for this show is Reid Park on Boundary Street in South Townsville. As with the Cairns show, single and three day tickets are available. The displays and products will include home, lifestyle and adventure and over 100 exhibitors are expected.
The Queensland show circuit then heads to Mackay with the Mackay Home Show and Caravan, Camping and Boating Expo on the weekend of 20th to 22nd May. This will be held at the Mackay Showgrounds which is located in Milton Street. Tickets are available both online and at the gate.
That’s plenty of events to keep those keen on caravan and camping entertained in May and provide numerous opportunities to inspect some of the latest caravans on the market. So arrive prepared with a pre-approved caravan loan.
