Lotus Family Caravan
At the Caravan Supershow in Victoria, Lotus Caravans unveiled a new family caravan – the Off Limits. According to reports, this is a triple-axle vehicle, built to suit off-road adventures and loaded with a heap of features to enhance the comfort factor and increase practicalities of family travelling.
For starters and practicality this model includes a separate parents’ zone at the front and bunks at the rear. The areas are separated by the lounge/kitchen and there are 4 bunks to suit largish families or so smaller family units can bring a mate.
It is built to take on all-terrains so you can plan adventures into awe-inspiring remote locations to really enjoy that special family time together. This caravan has 3 generous tanks for fresh water and a 50 litre one for the grey water. Four solar panels on the roof, lithium battery set-up and solar charger should cater for power requirements.
To cater for practicalities – staying connected and entertained, this model at the show included a booster unit for internet connection and antenna to accompany the large-screen television.
Plenty more great features included and with Lotus’ custom-built service, buyers can discuss their specific preferences with the manufacturer. Jayco Family Campervan
If you’re more a campervan than a caravan family, check out the latest family-suited campervan model from Jayco. The new JRV Campervan was on display at the recent Victorian show and attracted plenty of attention.
It is pitched as the perfect second vehicle by Jayco with clever marketing – suggesting why purchase a SUV when buyers can receive all the features of a JRV. And this campervan does tick a lot of boxes for active families. The campervan offers the convenience of not needing a towing vehicle so it can be utilised with regular ‘around town’ errands and days out as much as it can for holidays and getaways.
Based on a Fiat, the JRV has seating for four and offers a loft bed for children with a pop-top roof. Plenty of comforts and necessities such as hot water, a 90L fresh water tank and an 80L grey water tank. Check out the full specs at the Jayco website.
