Conversion Kits
Another type of customisation is the conversion kit. This involves purchasing a kit to convert an existing commercial van into a campervan. While some people may choose to undertake this process themselves, it can be arduous, time-consuming and require trade skills. Purchasing a kit or better still, getting the supplier to carry out the conversion can be a smart move.
Fin Campers for example offer removable kits to convert VW Transporters into camper vans. The kits are available for the LWB models and include such items as:- removable bed box; storage compartments; kitchen pod; fridge; electronics; folding table; and conversion certificate to motorhome status.
For those that already have a Transporter or are looking at a less expensive option, this may be worth investigating further.
Conversion Kit Loans
Our Unsecured Personal Loan may be the most suitable type of finance to cover the cost of the conversion kit on its own. With this type of loan, the actual camper is not used as security against the loan as is the case with the Secured Caravan Loan.
