Going Small – smaller sized and caravan loan options

Caravan and RV models seem to get bigger and bolder with each new release as manufacturers optimise their design and production skill and talent to produce exciting new offerings to appease the discerning market. But while many caravan buyers are looking for larger models with all the extras and accessories to enhance their travel experience, others are equally keen to find something smaller. Either smaller in size or smaller in price. Our research has revealed two new market entries worth considering that may fit the bill.

The Adria Collection: 472PK

The Adria 472 PK is a smaller packaged traditional van that presents as a great little package. For those new to caravanning, the lightweight features will be of special interest as they make this an easy-to-tow option. But the smaller package does not mean Adria has downgraded style and inclusions. This model features an innovative design and stylish features that should impress many buyers.

The 472 is a 5 berth model with a forwarding place bed, plus two bunks and the dinette converts to become the 5th bed. It’s complete with a shower en-suite, a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge and freezer combination unit and 3 burner cooktop. While considered smaller than many on the market, this model is sturdy with hot-dipped chassis, independent suspension and many safety features including anti-sway coupling.

Adria Mobil started in Europe in the 1960s and has won awards for innovation in Europe and is a highly recognisable brand in the region. The Australian arm is based in Queensland and offers a collection of motorhomes, campers and caravans in the local market.

Great Value Windsor Campervan

If you’re looking for value, aka lower price, in a campervan, then check out the new Mercedes-based Windsor Brighton model from Apollo. Based on the highly popular Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, this new model to enter the market shortly has been priced at what is described as budget entry-level. With the surge in RV demand from many first-timers, this could present an appealing option for those wanting to taste the lifestyle before making a major commitment.

The reports are this model is arriving soon so buyers would want to get in, check it out and get that order placed so as not to miss out. Described as a great getaway machine for weekends, the Brighton is priced significantly less than other campervans in the Windsor range. If you want to talk prices and loans first, then head to our Caravan Loan Repayment Calculator and start working up repayment estimates on the advertised pricetags.

While the budget pricing will get you on the road in a Mercedes-Benz, it won’t get you all the inclusions on higher priced models. Inclusions such as an internal en-suite for starters. But it is apparently well-equipped for its price range with a kitchenette, sink, 109 L fridge, dining table which converts to a bed and plenty of other features to keep you comfortable for your getaways.

The Sprinter is a 2.1 litre, 4 cylinders, turbo diesel and the unit is 5.93 metres long, so it presents as an easier to manage option than a larger towing caravan. Campervans definitely have the ease of driving in their favour. No need for a separate vehicle for towing and very little additional driving skill required compared with the skill required to tow a traditional caravan.

The Windsor brand has been on the Australian market for a long time and since 2019 comes under the Apollo umbrella. While operating in many countries, the company’s local state of the art facility is located in Brisbane. Dealers are located across the country. With the Windsor Brighton apparently available shortly, it could be worth keeping across developments at https://www.windsorrvs.com.au/
