The Avida Topaz is 2014 winner of Caravan World Best Aussie Caravan Award and is a premium quality caravan with ultra-luxury features. In 2015 Avida issued a special 50th anniversary edition of the Topaz, celebrating their 1965 start in the industry, with additional features but the standard models lack very little in top of the market appeal.
The Topaz range is available in the on-road Tourer Model and the Multi Terrain model for more rugged environments. The key difference is in the choice of Cruisemaster CRS independent coil suspension.
Engineering and Design Expertise
Avida is renowned for their continual investment in advanced technology and the Topaz incorporates many of the company’s unique construction features including their unique sandwich panel wall, roof and floor construction and their unique interlocking roof/wall and wall/floor system.
The Topaz is a slide out design which creates an additional 600mm width running over 4m on the offside. For easy set-up, the slide-out is simply operated by pressing an internal switch!

Step inside and the high quality of the fit out is immediately apparent. Massive windows to allow in light and reveal the views, ultra-leather appointments, adjustable and swivel dining table, high quality easy clean vinyl flooring, queen sized lift-up bed operated by has struts to reveal under bed storage, reverse cycle air conditioning and the list goes on. The bathroom is light and bright with sufficient space, separate shower, ceramic basin, mixer taps and, one of the unmissable Topaz features – more storage!
Storage is everywhere, allowing everything to be in its place, providing more space for enjoying life in your Topaz. The kitchen follows the theme with not only plenty of storage but also a lot more bench space than expected in a van of this size. Very well considered and engineered with precision.
Splashback, 190 L fridge, LPG and electric cooktop, microwave, gas griller combo, stainless steel sink and stainless steel rangehood are all standard.
Function is not sacrificed for luxury with 2 x 120L water tanks, 2 x 9kg gas bottles, external shower with both hot and cold water and a comprehensive list of electricals all standard on both models.
