The caravan shows are attracting great numbers and great attention and providing manufacturers with the perfect showcase for their new caravan releases. Numerous suppliers have launched new models to aficionados and potential buyers keen to upgrade and update. Buyers keen to secure a newly released caravan model can take advantage of first securing affordable RV finance as a pre-approved caravan loan through Jade Caravan Finance. Pre-approved finance allows buyers to be ready to order and possibly head to the top of the order list for faster delivery. Those who may be concerned about their credit status can explore options with caravan finance guaranteed to ensure they don't miss out.

With interest rates on an upward trajectory, buyers planning to purchase a new caravan, camper or RV with finance in the near future are urged to expedite the process prior to the next rate rise by the RBA.

We showcase a number of new caravans which were recently released at the Brisbane caravan show along with a guide to accessing affordable RV finance to make that all-important purchase.

Showcase: Spinifex Electrified Model

Attracting attention at the Brisbane show was a new custom-order caravan from Spinifex – a 19’6” Electrex Premier model. The big attraction was that this particular build is gas-free, using the limitless power system from OzX Corp.

In its own words, OZX has ‘disrupted’ the global RV sector with its technology solutions, which are protected by patents to solve issues emerging across the industry. In this case, providing systems which do away with refilling those LPG cylinders but still providing a complete off-grid lifestyle.

The Spinifex model is fitted with the power platform which has been developed by OZXCorp and includes commercial-grade solar panels, lithium battery and smart inverter. Providing sufficient power to support appliances while off the grid for an extended period.

The custom-order vehicle uses the company’s Nomadix Premier as a base. While these buyers opted to go gas-less, the company customises vans to suit requirements with combos of electric and gas available.

The name Electrex alludes to the electric nature of the model but the Nomadix Premier can also be fitted with OzXCorp systems. The van is extremely luxurious, fitted out to meet the buyer’s requirements including leather-covered dinette seating, rear ensuite which includes a separate toilet and shower and plenty more.

Spinifex builds to order and have three base models that buyers can select from and then create their space with the variations in layouts, floorplans and fittings. As with many other manufacturers, the order/delivery time may be long for these coveted vehicles, so placing that order asap would be advisable.

Showcase: Snowy River Caravans All Terrain

Another model turning heads in Brisbane was the all-terrain model from Snowy River Caravans. The company is an Australian-Chinese brand with the vans are built in China and completed in the company’s Melbourne facilities.

This particular new multi-terrain model is 20’ and includes galvanised steel chassis, semi-independent coil suspension and reinforced composite wall panels of fibreglass with an aluminium frame. The construction technique creates the distinctive monocoque body.

Worth checking out this brand at the next caravan show or online.

RV Finance Options

Some good news with the rising interest rate situation is that the rate that banks and lenders, including ourselves advertise is for new goods and for applicants that have a good credit score. So finance on one of these brand new models should attract a lower interest rate than on a second-hand caravan. For those looking into RV options, it's essential to research the best RV financing to ensure you're getting the most value for your money.

The type of new caravan or RV - hybrid, off-road, all terrain or electrified as in the case of the new Spinifex model, does not in general terms affect the features and benefits of the RV loan. The same Secured Caravan Loan is suited to all types of RVs.

Our Secured Caravan Loan follows a simple format where the RV becomes the security against the loan and the borrower repays the finance in equal monthly repayments over a fixed finance term. We arrange our loans with a fixed interest rate, so despite what happens with rates during the finance term, the loan will not change.

To see what the loan repayments on a new Spinifex or Snow River model may be at our current interest rates, refer to our Compare Finance Rates Guide. It shows comparisons with a number of lenders.

Ordering well ahead and needing finance?

As most RVs are either fully custom-built or built-to-order from manufacturer’s existing models, there can be wait times for delivery. Delivery times have been further blown out over the past few years due to pandemic issues and a spike in demand, also COVID-driven.

This scenario can pose queries for those requiring finance for the purchase. The finance may not be required to pay the manufacturer until delivery. Alternatively, progress payments may be required at completion of certain production stages.

While we provide pre-approved caravan finance, the loan does have an expiry date which would be prior to the delivery timeframes currently available.

As broker-style lenders we are not restricted by many of the strict guidelines that other banks and lenders may need to adhere to. We address each loan application individually to deliver finance solutions to specifically suit the requirements.
