A run down on events in South Australia,
Avid aficionados and novices know well that the best way to see all the latest caravan releases, gear, equipment and accessories is to attend expos and shows. They offer superb opportunities to see a whole of suppliers in the one place for easy and convenient comparisons on the spot.
Expos also run seminars and presentations by leading expert so they are a great place to update your knowledge and a source of valuable information to enhance your caravan experience.
In South Australia, the peak industry body is the Caravan and Camping Industries Association of South Australia, which runs several annual expos.
The annual South Australia Caravan and Camping Show was held in February 2015 at Adelaide Showgrounds and Let’s Go Caravan and Camping Super Sale was held 30 July – 2 August 2015, also at Adelaide Showgrounds.
At time of writing, no dates were advertised for upcoming shows, so keep an eye on the association’s website and facebook page to stay in touch and be first to know when event information is released. www.caravanandcampingsa.com.au
Travel to Interstate Shows
While there are not a lot of major shows scheduled for South Australia, just across the border in Victoria, there is a more extensive calendar of events, so why not plan a road trip to coincide with the interstate expos.

The largest is the Victorian Caravan Camping and Outdoor Supershow which will be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds 24-29 February 2016 and all ticketing information can be found at www.caravanshow.com.au
The Border Expo in Wodonga is held in August so keep an eye on the association website and facebook page for details.
The Bendigo Leisurefest Expo is held in November at the Bendigo Racecourse and features over 200 new caravans, camper trailers, campervans, motorhomes, pop tops, tent trailers, off-road vehicles and plenty to more to keep the whole family entertainment.
The Geelong Caravan, Camping and Outdoor Living Show is scheduled for 21-24 January 2016 at head for the Geelong Showgrounds and Caravan, Camping and Outdoor Living Show in Yarrawonga, 11-13 March at
Another large Victorian show is the Explore Australia Expo which was held in May in 2015 at Melbourne Showgrounds and covers a wider field of outdoor living than just caravans. Keep an eye on the organiser’s website for details of the 2016 events www.exploreaustraliaexpo.com.au/melbourne
