A run down on events in Queensland
Nothing beats visiting an expo or show to check out the latest model releases, updates, and accessories in person and find everything you need for your caravan and camping adventures.
For Queenslanders, several shows and events held annually are worth diarising right now.
Caravanning Queensland, the industry body that brings together the Caravan Trade and Industries Association of Queensland and the Caravan Parks Association of Queensland, organises many excellent events yearly.
Queensland Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow
The Supershow is an annual event that has been running for nearly 50 years and attracted over 55,000 visitors to see the products and information presented by hundreds of exhibitors.
The show is held in June each year at the Brisbane Showgrounds. It includes displays, information and demos covering caravans, campervans and motorhomes, camper trailers, off-road vehicles, camping equipment and accessories, and a wealth of information on tourism and holiday destinations in the Sunshine State and throughout Australia.

Pre-Christmas Caravan & Camping Expo
In addition to the June Supershow, Caravanning Queensland also holds the annual Pre-Christmas Expo later in the year.
The event is strategically scheduled to allow manufacturers and dealers to clear stock before the new year and give customers an excellent opportunity to gear up for the holiday season.
In 2015, over 100 exhibitors presented and displayed clearance and sale stock and showed upcoming 2016 models.
This is a ‘must attend’ event for everyone interested in caravans and camping.

Gold Coast Events
For those further down the coast, Caravanning Queensland also notes a possible Gold Coast Caravan and Camping Expo to be held in March 2016. Please check-in at the caravan qld website for more updates on this event.
Explore Australia Expo
In 2015, a new expo arrived on the scene - Explore Australia Expo. Held in March at the Manly Boat Harbour in Queensland, this exciting show outgrew the venue in its first year. Such was its popularity.
The Explore Australia Expo is billed as an outdoor leisure exhibition that brings together the elite of the outdoor industries and overlapping communities. The collection covers premium 4WD, camping, fishing and outdoor adventures with exhibitors, displays and other happenings.
The next Expo will be held 2-4 September 2016 at the much larger venue of Doomben Racecourse in Brisbane.
