With the Tarmac, Lotus presents a brand new, highly prestigious on-road van with breakthrough technology and luxurious style, fixtures and appointments. A total lifestyle caravan with an impressive list of key features both inside and outside.

The Tarmac is available in both single and tandem axle configurations and four body sizes, 17’6” to 21’. As the name implies, it is designed as an on-road van but has much of the Lotus signature off-road looks.

Specs and Features

Innovative composite panelling head the list of key standard features as it is constructed with a Meranti timber frame covered with 3mm Dibond aluminium composite panels. Walls and roof are insulated and the floor is marine ply.

Notably, the Tarmac is fitted with the Dexter TORFLEX independent rubber axle suspension – apparently the first in the Lotus line-up. Electrical controls are easily and well located with standard inclusions a 150w solar panel, 120amp battery, 25 amp Project battery charger and 30 amp ProStar solar controller. Two 95 L water tanks and two 9kg gas bottles are standard.

Interior Luxury

A number of layout configurations are available but all follow a similar design of queen sized bed up front, well equipped kitchenette, high quality upholstered dinette and a generous, rear ensuite. The interior is modern luxury all the way with Italian leather upholstery, premium quality laminate kitchen benches, on-trend ‘handle-less’ cabinetry and Euro-style double glazed windows.

Looks are one thing, but Lotus also focuses on user-friendly features throughout. The dinette table is tri-fold to create space and streamlined flow, the dinette seating has pop-out footrests to create a lounge environment and storage abounds – everywhere!

The kitchen is not only well-equipped it is inviting with a large window above the bench/prep area, top of the range Thetford oven, 190L fridge and stainless steel slimline rangehood.

Covering the entire width is the equally luxurious ensuite with ceramic toilet bowl and vanity basin, Dometic cassette toilet, large vanity mirror, separated shower and toilet, towel rails and top loading washing machine.

The bedroom is luxurious with a number of wardrobes, both half and three quarter, innerspring mattress bed with bedhead, generous storage options and windows on either side of the bed. Double glazed, tinted windows are fitted with blinds and screens.
